Happy Cinco de Mayo! I completed my running mileage goal for two weeks in a row. Today was a good run. I guess the hotel where I am at decided to turn on the fan in the workout room, because it was much cooler and bearable. I started the run slow and easy because I didn't want to waste away like I felt with the previous two runs. It was very comfortable, so even though I didn't reach my base speed I was very comfortable, and I consider this week a success. Next week I start to increase my weekly mileage by 4 miles. I will do this for 3 weeks, and then increase it again.
The TV was on in the workout room, and on the news a tank exploded. I almost threw up, at least I became very naseous, and I was praying right then in there. Then I saw photographs of dead US soldiers. I didn't realize it was a different story. The dead soldiers just had their names added to the VietNam Memorial Wall in DC. Then there was a story on James Brown. That man could dance, holy cow!
Highlights included Death Cab for Cutie's We Were Giants or something about Giants. The song about Giants on the album with the black bird on the cover.
