Running Musings - 052907

I woke up at 5am to run this morning. The first 10 minutes were designated as time to contemplate why I was up at 5am, as in why am I up at 5am? Then I was stretching, and I wasn't actually working out until 5:45am. So, it will get better, and I'll start earlier, but at least I did it. Since I haven't run at 5am in over a year, I wasn't too hard on myself. I did my base mileage, which still floors me that it's my base, and I was slower than my base rate. That's ok. I'll get up there, dammit! Once I reach a certain speed for 1 mile I'm giving money to the Red Cross. It's a speed I've never reached, but there's no doubt in my mind that I can do it. I just have to really want it, eh?

Highlights included Bruce's She's the One, CC+the Music Factory's Everybody Dance Now, and Rusted Root's Ectasy. There was a lot of Pearl Jam songs, but those stuck out.
