Running Musings - 081907

I biked today, and I guess I haven't exercised in about 13 days or so. Ooops ;) Well, I have an excuse for the past week. I started a mid-life crisis that should last until approximately Tuesday. Whenever a movie based on a Jane Austen novel comes out, or in this case, a movie based on Jane Austen comes out, normality as I define it is dropped. The movie run at my nearest theater ends Tuesday.

Exercise is defined as the walking distance between the metro and the movie theater;
Dinner is defined as the popcorn or chocolate snacks available at movie theater concession stands; and
The obsession of life is not When is the Next Pearl Jam Concert?, but rather, how many times will I view this movie before I know the words by heart?

I'm on the 7th showing tonight, and I'd say it took about 5 showings. When it comes out on DVD I'll be a very productive person. I'll knit, and needlepoint while watching the DVD day in and day out, and double on weekends. Hopefully, it'll come out during the holiday season as I need to knit some hats for gifts. Pride and Prejudice (with Keira Knightly) was on DVD within 4 months from the first date that I saw it.

Thankgawd for Jane Austen! If it wasn't for her I'd dedicate my life to written smut instead of written life.

The biking was great! Faster than usual and longer distance than usual. Highlights included Rusted Roots Ecstacy, and Sleater-Kinney's Ironclad.
