I ran the distance I wanted to run, but I was hurting a little bit on the speed. I ended up 3 minutes slower than the times from last week. However, I FINISHED, and I wasn't consumed by emotional poverty from the run. Overall, it was a good run to start the week. Highlights include Porch; Pat Benatar's Hell is for Children, and Promises in the Dark, and Frou Frou's Let Go.
Yes, yes, yes. I must write poetry before I start to run. It sparks my brain intellectually, and occupies the space of focus for the first part of the run. If I didn't write poetry before I ran, like today, the first part of the run is a little long. If I can distract myself from the beginning of the run, then when I ran out of distraction I would be warmed up, and ready to pay attention to the actual running. Good thing I run on a treadmill, eh?
