Pearl Jam Concert in Chicago

I didn't get tickets for the Pearl Jam show in Chicago August 2nd. I was pretty bummed about that, like total down in the dumps. I don't really have the finances for it so I guess it's really not a bad thing. However, I went to bed bummed, I woke up bummed, I got to work bummed. It was just a bummidity-bumming day. What's interesting is I decided to use defeat as an inspirational tool to complete a goal.

I decided to run the longest distance I ever ran to get me out of the dumps. Just thinking about it is working! Actually, instead of thinking of the PJ defeat, I'm thinking about running, and wondering if I can actually do it before the PJ concert. I don't think I should do it before August 2nd, but definitely before Lollapolooza is over. In other words, I could probably do it within a little over a week. I think I have the willpower, and some people at work are running marathons and they are so inspiring. It will definitely be indoors on a treadmill because it is humid and icky outside. Great weather to have all nutrients sucked out of my skin. Yuck!
